C-530 OxyHib is a catalyzed sodium sulfite used to remove oxygen from boiler feed water to prevent corrosion.

Use 8 parts of sulfite (active) for each part of oxygen in the water. Maintain a residual of sulfite to insure there is no free oxygen to initiate corrosion. The deaerated water storage vessel is the preferred location to add C-530. For dechlorination, add C-530 as far upstream as possible.
C-530 is authorized by the USDA for use in Federally inspected meat and poultry plants.

C-530 OxyHib is a clear yellowish liquid.
